Chapter 26 of The Long Game

Static Limit

Outside of the event horizon of black hole, there lies a region called the ergosphere. The edge of this region is called the static limit, the point at which the world lines shift from being time-like to space-like.

Everytime I see posts like this I get filled with such profound sadness

Cause you know who has the same brainrot as you? The same unhinged feelings as you after you’ve read the fic? The person who always wants to scream about the fic with you?

THE PERSON WHO WROTE IT

I never used to leave comments but since I got into the habit of commenting on everything i enjoy it’s been incredible. Especially when the author gets back to me about it and we get to have a discussion of what other ideas they had. One writer replied to my comment with a 5 paragraph essay detailing the Floorplan of the building the characters lived in and it was incredible

Anyways this is all to say that if you find a fic that just makes you want to scream from the rooftops, leave a comment saying that to the author and maybe they will join you and you can scream incoherently together

Part 1 of you monster (affectionate) is now on AO3!

link on AO3

This contains the first three chapters of my ChellDOS fic! (8,660 words)

This is the first part of a much longer work, detailing the trials and tribulations of Chell and GLaDOS’ relationship after Chell makes the decision Post-Portal-2 to return to Aperture Science.

GLaDOS is in her chassis the whole time, and Chell is nonvocal- communicating through writing in this chapter, and with ASL as things eventually progress.

I’m attempting to comply to canon, so let me know if I messed anything up (I am NOT well-versed in Half-Life lore.)

There’s going to be some fluff, there’s going to be some angst, and there’s a LOT of sarcasm.

…I had a lot of fun with the dialogue.

There should be more updates in the coming weeks (though this is it for Part 1) as I continue working to revise. This is the first time I’m posting any fanfiction, so please let me know if there’s anything I can do to improve the formatting/publishing layout!

They finished the western. When GLaDOS reached for another book, she felt an arm snake around her own. Chell shifted, the weight of her head heavier on GLaDOS’s shoulder. Despite the narration, Chell’s eyes closed for longer and longer periods of time, until she was asleep entirely.
